Andrew McCabe's Firing May Not Have Been Unreasonable
Business Insider Reports that while the Friday night massacre style firing of FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe may have been unfortunate, experts are chiming in to say that the move may not have been unreasonable. Although there is currently an uncomfortable climate around the FBI and DOJ, the real reason stated for McCabes firing — lacking candor when speaking with investigators — may not have been unreasonable. One legal expert said: "there is a basis here and objective minds have to see that," the expert went on to say: "It's unfortunate, but it's not shocking." McCabe was fired 26 hours before he was set to retire and become eligible for his government pension.
