Major Retailers Compete Against Each Other To Get Seasonal Workers
According to Business Insider, retailers are competing with each other to draw in potential employees. Kohl’s, Macy’s, Target and others are looking to hire tens of thousands of seasonal workers. Since unemployment is fairly low at 3.9 percent, retailers need to compete to get workers. While Kohl’s is offering an “unprecedented” 35 percent discount, JCPenney is offering paid time off. Meanwhile, Walmart is thinking of offering child-care services, tutoring, pet care or gym memberships.
